He is most commonly known for playing the protagonist, Pete, in the 1977 Disney movie, Pete's Dragon, for which he earned a gold record. He has also voiced The Boy in Disney's 1978 animated Christmas short film, The Small One.In Pete's Dragon he performed in the song Boo Bop Bop Bop Bop (I Love You, Too).
